Insomniac Games has spoken out in response to the persistent demands from fans eagerly seeking news and updates on Marvel’s Wolverine for the PS5. They’ve made it clear that information will only be shared when the team feels confident and prepared to do so, resisting any outside pressure to reveal details prematurely.

Insomniac Games Stays Firm on Its News Release Strategy

Amid discussions about the Spider-Man 2 PC port, one follower voiced their frustration, accusing Insomniac of "ignoring" PS5 players who are anxious for Wolverine news. The comment was laced with sarcasm, calling the studio a "great team."

Typically, Insomniac Games chooses not to engage in such interactions, but this time their social media crew decided to respond. They emphasized that news will be shared "when we are ready," stressing the "we" in their response. They explained that satisfying every demand isn’t feasible, considering the time, resources, and necessary approvals involved.

Even so, Insomniac assured that the team is "actively" working on Wolverine.

In late 2023, a significant ransomware attack on Insomniac resulted in a leak of Wolverine’s early footage. Although the studio was dismayed by this breach, they reassured fans that it has not affected the game’s development or plans for its release.

Marvel’s Wolverine was initially unveiled in September 2021, but we haven’t seen any substantial updates since then. Given the industry’s trend towards longer development cycles, it might still be a while before we glimpse any real gameplay.
