Capcom has just announced an exciting treat for fans of classic games. They’re bringing back Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny, originally a hit on the PlayStation 2, with a remastered version heading to the Nintendo Switch.
This sequel followed the popular Onimusha: Warlords and managed to capture the hearts of gamers worldwide, selling a remarkable 2.1 million copies, making it the top-selling game in the series.
The game introduces us to a fresh face, Jubei Yagyu, who embarks on a gripping journey of vengeance. His character is notably inspired by the late Yusaku Matsuda, a well-known Japanese actor from the 1980s, lending an authentic feel to the story.
In this updated release, fans can look forward to the same captivating setting and gameplay mechanics they loved in the original. However, it’s not just about nostalgia; this version is enhanced with new features and improvements tailored for modern consoles to ensure a smooth and engaging experience.
Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny is set to make its digital debut on the Nintendo eShop for Switch users across the globe in 2025.
