This year looks promising for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers, as they have some exciting releases lined up. In the latest update, there’s confirmation that four games will be added to the Game Catalog perk when they debut. One of the highlights is Remedy Entertainment’s upcoming multiplayer first-person shooter, FBC: Firebreak. This game recently announced a new release window for the summer of 2025.
FBC: Firebreak is set in the intriguing environment of The Oldest House, the focal point of the Federal Bureau of Control and the backdrop for the hit game, Control. While Remedy Entertainment is known for its rich narratives and elaborate storytelling, they’re steering in a slightly different direction with this new title, putting gameplay at the forefront. They’re also aiming to craft a live-service experience without the usual pressure-inducing elements often found in this genre. Players can look forward to all content being freely available and can progress at their own leisure.
A fresh trailer just dropped, showcasing the Paper Chase Job, one of the many missions players will tackle in FBC: Firebreak. In this mission, the Firebreak Initiative must rid a section of The Oldest House of some rogue sticky notes causing chaos. The trailer also gives a sneak peek at the range of loadouts players can use as they work to fend off the Hiss threat.
Once it hits the shelves, FBC: Firebreak will be accessible on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through both the Epic Games Store and Steam.
In addition to FBC: Firebreak, there are three more games joining the Game Catalog at launch. Titles like Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, Blue Prince, and Abiotic Factor have also been announced. For those eager to dive in, the first part of Lost Records is already available for PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers, with its second installment expected to land next month.
PlayStation Plus members have another perk to enjoy: early access to the PS Store’s Spring Sale. This means subscribers can snag fantastic deals on top games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 right away.
