Great news for Monster Hunter Wilds enthusiasts—now you can carry two weapons on your hunts! This new feature lets you fine-tune your setup for any encounter you might face. Your trusty steed, the Seikret, comes in handy here, holding your secondary weapon ready in its sheath and allowing swift weapon swaps whenever you need them.
So, how exactly do you change weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds? Let’s dive in.
Before setting out on your next adventure, make sure to organize your weapon loadout at any available camp. It’s important to choose wisely—your primary weapon should be in the main slot since that’s your starting tool for the hunt.
Now, for those in-the-moment switches, here’s what you need to do. In the middle of a hunt, you can call your Seikret over by pressing “X” on PC or “Right D-Pad” on a console. This call will bring your steed to you and enable you to swap your current weapon for the one stored in the sheath.
Keep in mind, though, that your character will automatically mount Seikret during the switch. So, pick your moments wisely and avoid swapping while being bombarded by attacks.
