A bothersome glitch in Indiana Jones and the Last Circle is stopping players from completing not just the game, but also snags them on the Indiana Jones and the Great Circle achievements. Itβs been over six weeks since MachineGames launched this outstanding Xbox action-adventure title, yet a major obstacle is still bugging players everywhere.
### Indiana Jones and The Great Circle Has a Bug that Needs Immediate Attention
Gamers are stumbling upon a serious bug in Indiana Jones and The Great Circle during The Blessed Pearl challenge. This issue hinders Indiana Jones from scrambling up ladders, ascending vines, or crawling through tight spaces. While it’s known that MachineGames is on it, the bug remains a persistent thorn in the side. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, celebrated as one of my top picks from last year, has hit a snag in The Blessed Pearl storyline on Sukhothai, essentially barricading my progress. Many other players seem to be facing this roadblock as well.
The quirk, as bizarre as it sounds, prevents our beloved globe-trotting archaeologist from climbing or squeezing through gaps. Frustratingly, this only pops up during the Sukhothai level, particularly in The Blessed Pearl mission that needs Indy to slip through a small opening in a cave to move forward. Since this segment is isolated from the rest of Sukhothai, you find yourself trapped. Using fast travel leads to other locations, but the glitch persists, leaving Indiana Jones unable to perform basic actions like climbing ladders or squeezing through spaces.
It’s an exasperating problem that has led me to pause my adventures until MachineGames provides a fix. Even though the developers offer an option to roll back to a previous save, two-thirds of my save files are affected by this issue. Reloading the third would mean sacrificing hours of progress, including my treasure hunt through the Vatican City tunnels.
On Reddit, MachineGames has confirmed their awareness of the problem, linking it to the character Sunan and a side quest called Lost in the Past. The glitch seems to surface when, after completing the fieldwork and handing over the golden hook to Sunan, players overlook a crucial final interaction prompt. If this is missed, Indy loses the ability to climb and squeeze through. Press on with The Blessed Pearl without addressing this prompt and you’ll find yourself stuck with no way forward.
Should you encounter this glitch, consider yourself fortunate if you have an older save you can revert to, allowing you to interact with Sunan to finish Lost in the Past correctly. If not, and you’re like me, waiting for MachineGames to issue a patch seems to be the only option unless you want to sacrifice hours of gameplay.
After six weeks on the market, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle not only faces this game-stopping bug but also several smaller issues. Players report frustrations like transferring radio frequencies to Gina, navigating the cog wheel puzzle, and dealing with other collectibles. Understandably, the holiday break may have delayed MachineGamesβ patch release, but I, for one, eagerly await the update so I can dive back into the adventure.
Have you run into this bug yourself? Are you struggling with the radio frequency challenges or other collectible gripes? Or perhaps you’ve missed out on some of the simpler Indiana Jones and the Great Circle achievements? Feel free to share your experiences in the comments below!
