In the world of Marvel Rivals, Team-Up abilities bring a strategic edge to the game by letting two or more Marvel heroes combine their powers to deliver some serious beatdowns. These unique collaborations can give you a significant advantage on the battlefield if you know how to wield them effectively.
With the release of Season 2, some new Team-Ups have been introduced, while others have been phased out. NetEase Games isn’t stopping there; they’re committed to rolling out more Team-Ups as the lineup of heroes continues to expand.
In this guide, we’ll dive into the mechanics of Team-Up attacks and provide a breakdown of all the current Team-Ups available in the game.
### How Do Team-Ups Work in Marvel Rivals?
As things stand in Season 2, Marvel Rivals boasts 18 Team-Up abilities to match its diverse roster of 38 heroes. While two Team-Ups are currently out of rotation, don’t count them out entirely—they might make a comeback in future seasons.
Every Team-Up has its own twist, giving them distinct advantages. The basic premise is that having specific heroes team up can lead to impressive bonuses. You can check out potential Team-Ups for your chosen hero right at the center of the character select screen.
Some benefits are passive boosts, like Hela’s Ragnarok Rebirth, which lets her bring Thor or Loki back to life during combat if they’re part of her team. Others are more active, such as Rocket Raccoon’s Ammo Overload, which grants abilities to the main hero or offers different perks to allied heroes who gain the most from the Team-Up.
It’s worth noting that not all Team-Ups are equal in their benefits. Some heroes might not see any advantage from having their ally in the Team-Up present, but their ally could gain significant perks. Take Lunar Force, for example. It doesn’t have any additional effects for Cloak & Dagger when Moon Knight is around, but Moon Knight benefits greatly from Cloak & Dagger’s presence as it allows him to occasionally turn invisible—a skill that’s highly valuable.
While Team-Ups aren’t essential for winning, they’re incredibly powerful and definitely worth exploring whenever you can. It’s smart to get comfortable with different characters in your favorite roles so you can adapt and support an ally through a Team-Up.
