PUBG Launches a Limited-Time Dating Sim Experience

Starting on April 1, PUBG: Battlegrounds is taking a playful detour with its new temporary addition, Winner Winner Romantic Dinner. In this dating sim, players get the chance to engage in conversations and even form bonds with their virtual firearms, each bringing distinct personalities and characteristics to the table. Alongside the main attraction, there’s a fresh cooperative in-game event taking place from April 1 to April 8, packed with opportunities for players to scoop up a variety of rewards.

Ever since PUBG burst onto the gaming scene in 2017 with its high-stakes battle royale mode, inspired by the Japanese cult classic film “Battle Royale” from the year 2000, the game has been known for its gripping realism and intense combat dynamics. From battling on shrinking maps to mastering a diverse arsenal, it has defined a genre that others have mimicked and innovated upon. While its fame has waned slightly over time, Krafton, the minds behind PUBG, have persistently enriched the game with fresh and surprising content. And this time, they’re switching gears to add a whimsical touch of romance for a limited period.

Joining forces with ReLU Games, Krafton is spicing things up this April Fools’ Day with the introduction of Winner Winner Romantic Dinner. This unique experience encourages players to “get to know” the game’s firearms, all of which boast their own voices and personalities. Set against the backdrop of a high school within the PUBG universe, players step into the shoes of a student tasked with preparing for a school festival while navigating a narrative rich with different endings.

To entice players even further, the game now includes themed rewards like nameplates and Contraband Coupons, alongside more classic goodies such as sprays, emblems, and G-Coin, all available until April 29. But the fun extends beyond romance alone; players can dive into the Land, Love, Survive cooperative event, competing in missions like sending friend requests, executing revivals, and withstanding the tension of 15-minute matches. This event runs until April 8, offering enticing rewards such as Event Tokens and Hunter’s Chests.
