The source of this juicy tidbit? None other than Ben Forbes, the editor-in-chief behind 2XKO, who took to Twitter to spill the latest. He enthusiastically shared, “We just finished filming the upcoming 2XKO update! We’re still in the midst of editing, production, and localization, but here’s a sneak peek: expect a thorough exploration of our gameplay tweaks since the first Alpha Lab, details on Alpha Lab 2, and even a showmatch starring our development team!”
He continued in the thread, noting, “This is a truly comprehensive update, so it’s going to be a lengthy one (probably close to an hour). We’re aiming to release it during the last week of March. We’re not quite set for PowerPoint livestreams just yet, but perhaps someday…”
However, keep those character-based anticipations in check, as Ben also mentioned that no new character reveals are part of this update. So maybe hold off on placing any bets.
Reflecting on last year, when the 2XKO team wrapped things up with a “See you next year” note, they initially aimed for a February release of new details.
