Last week, Monster Hunter Wilds made an impressive mark on Steam by securing the third spot in the pre-order rankings. This shift in position, just ahead of its February 28th release, reflects the buzz and anticipation that Capcom’s latest addition to its action RPG franchise is generating. Since the release of Monster Hunter World in 2019, Capcom highlighted that the PC version performed exceptionally well, being the second-best platform for the game in terms of sales.
Meanwhile, Counter-Strike 2 reclaimed its position at the top of the charts, moving up a slot and reclaiming the number one spot. Right behind it is the newly released Civilization 7, which now sits comfortably at number two after initially debuting at third place on February 10th. Despite only having one day of sales data affecting its debut position, there’s clear enthusiasm for the strategy game. Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 experienced a slight dip, sliding down to fourth place, although it has already surpassed over two million sales. Apex Legends enjoyed a significant boost, climbing 22 places to secure fifth position following the launch of its latest season update.
The Steam Deck by Valve, alongside titles like PUBG: Battlegrounds and Marvel Rivals, each slipped a notch to land on sixth, seventh, and eighth respectively. Making its first appearance on the charts, Obsidian’s new RPG Avowed entered at ninth place. Rounding out the top ten, Warframe saw a resurgence, moving up two spots to make its way back onto the list.
