Though the top half-dozen spots on this week’s Xbox gameplay leaderboard remain unchanged, a fresh wave of players seems to be diving back into Far Cry New Dawn, spurred by its return to Game Pass. As more big titles prepare to drop soon via Game Pass, we’re expecting a shake-up in the top 40.
Sniper Elite: Resistance continues its impressive performance since launching on Game Pass, nudging up a place to claim seventh. If you’re undecided about the game, you’ll find plenty to like in Sean’s review, where he offers significant praise. Meanwhile, Halo Infinite has seen a resurgence, climbing from 23rd to 17th, thanks to its latest update.
Next, let’s talk about Far Cry New Dawn, which has re-entered the top 40, grabbing the 19th spot after its Game Pass debut last week. On the flipside, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has dipped from 18th to 22nd. It’s a fantastic title, but with the influx of new Game Pass games over the coming months, managing time for multiple AAA releases can be a bit of a juggle.
Ninja Gaiden 2 Black saw a stellar peak in the charts not long ago after its surprise release on Xbox. However, the game has now slipped significantly from 11th to 24th. Similarly, Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap, another relatively new Game Pass entrant, finds itself in 31st position.
This week also sees Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II and No Man’s Sky resurfacing at 33rd and 36th, respectively, as their recent updates have likely drawn players back. On the other hand, Eternal Strands, which was a day-one Game Pass title, has experienced a fall from 19th to 38th, and Hell Let Loose brings up the tail end of the chart at 40th.
Interestingly, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II hasn’t cracked the top 40 yet, despite being a much-anticipated follow-up. It could be because it’s a deep RPG and isn’t included with Game Pass, so players might be waiting for a good time to start their medieval quests. If you’re one of them, we’ve got some handy tips to kick off your adventure and a guide on how to get your trusty steed, Pebbles.
Looking ahead, all eyes are on upcoming Xbox exclusives like Avowed, along with more additions to Game Pass. What do you think will storm into the top ten soon? Drop your thoughts in the comments!
