Second Dinner, the creative minds behind Marvel Snap, have recently teamed up with Skystone Games. This new collaboration was shared with fans through Twitter, revealing that the game was taken offline due to fallout from the U.S. TikTok ban. Originally published by Nuverse, a company under ByteDance—the owner of TikTok—Marvel Snap had to navigate some changes.
Skystone Games brings its own rich history, having launched games like Tyrant’s Realm and It Lurks Below, the latter of which was developed by David Brevik, a co-founder of Second Dinner.
Second Dinner thanked their audience, saying, “We’re incredibly grateful for your support and patience during the U.S. outage. Now that we’re back on mobile app stores, we’re thrilled to update you on Marvel Snap’s future.”
To prevent future interruptions, Second Dinner announced they’re working with Skystone Games and are bringing many of their operations and publishing duties in-house. They expressed gratitude to Nuverse for their ongoing support and explained that a new U.S.-based publisher, Skystone Games, will help ensure smooth sailing ahead.
“This whole endeavor has been a team effort,” they noted, “involving Second Dinner, Nuverse, Skystone, and Marvel. We’re truly excited about what lies ahead for Marvel Snap and thank you once again for standing by us.”
It seems this partnership with a U.S.-based company was something Second Dinner had in mind after experiencing the outage, signaling a bright and promising era for Marvel Snap’s fans.
